FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Differences in Gender?

We haven’t noticed much of a difference in personality between the genders, it normally depends on the dog. But we do say that if you want to love a dog, get a girl, if you want a dog to love you, get a boy. This is because we have noticed girls tend to be more independent where boys tend to cling to you a bit more.

Selection Process

I don’t take deposits on gender or coat, because we prefer you wait to see which puppy’s personality you like best. It’s so important to me that you get a puppy that will fit into your family. At 4 weeks old I have a good idea of the puppy's personality. I can help you pick the perfect family member.

How often will we send you pictures?

With a deposit down you will get the litter announcement picture when the puppies are 3 days old. I let mama bond and don’t bug her much before 3 days. We will post a video of each litter on our YouTube channel each week, so you can watch them grow up

What are the different generations?

F1 Goldendoodle:

50% Poodle & 50% Golden Retriever

is the first generation Goldendoodle that is a cross between a purebred 100% Golden Retriever and a purebred 100% Standard Poodle. The result is a Goldendoodle that is 50% Golden Retriever and 50% Poodle.

F1B Goldendoodle:

75% Poodle & 25% Golden Retriever

F1B Goldendoodle: The B stands for Backcross.  Backcross is a fancy term that simply means breeding back to a purebred generation.  Typically for Goldendoodles, this means inbreeding back to a 100%  Poodle for hypoallergenic and non-shedding purposes.

F1BB Goldendoodle:

87.5% Poodle and 12.5% Golden Retriever, is a cross between an F1B Goldendoodle (75% Poodle, 25% Golden Retriever) and an original purebred 100% Poodle or 100% Golden Retriever.  Most owners will typically choose to breed the F1B Goldendoodle with a 100% Standard Poodle to make the Goldendoodle even more hypoallergenic and non-shedding.  Since this is the second Backcross with a purebred Standard Poodle, it gets a second “B” in its name and is referred to as an F1BB Goldendoodle.

Crates

If you are getting a mini doodle, we suggest a medium sized crate. This way the puppy will have room to grow into it. If you are getting a teacup or microteacup doodle, we suggest a small sized crate. When setting up the crate for the first night, we suggest you cover half of the bottom of the crate with a blanket for the puppy to sleep on, and cover the other half with a piddle pad. This way, the puppy has a place to sleep and a place to pee, and you won’t have to get up the night with the puppy. This is also very good for the puppy because it helps them learn to sleep through the night. We also suggest getting a crate that has a divider that can make it smaller, so that during crate training, they only have enough room to turn around in.

One Year Health Guarantee

Our puppies come with a one year genetic health guarantee. Every puppy has a vet check and is healthy when it leaves our home. If something genetic comes up that is detrimental to the puppies health in the first year we will replace the puppy.

What are the different breeds?

We breed Goldendoodles and Labradoodles. Goldendoodles are a Golden Retriever and Poodle mix, and Labradoodles are Labrador Retriever and Poodle mix

How to reserve a puppy?

To reserve a spot on a litter, the first thing you have to do is put down a deposit on a litter. The deposit is $300 to secure a place in line to pick. You pick which litter to put down a deposit on, and that reserves your spot on that litter. Then once the puppies turn four weeks, you get to pick which one is yours.

What will my puppy come with?

All puppies come with the following:

  • Dewclaws removed and health checked by our veterinarian after being born

  • Multiple De-wormings

  • Age appropriate vaccinations completed with vet record

  • Potty training started

  • Crate training started

  • New toys

  • Puppy Food

  • Collar

  • Blanket

What do you recommend for food, sleeping arrangements, etc. for my puppy?

Any recommendations I have to help your new family member can be found

on my PET CARE page.

How will my puppy be delivered to me if I am out of state?

We do not ship our puppies - they are far too precious to be put under the plane! We are happy to meet you at the Salt Lake International airport at your convenience. We have worked with Arms to Arms flight nannies and a few others in the past and are happy to work with any nanny service you choose!
